Multi-genre author of 11 years, editor, and president of Sixdoom Literary. Unapologetic fiction snob. Audiobook fanatic.
How much research do you do for your books?
As much as I can. Especially anything involving guns, ammo, lawyer and police procedures. People seem to mess these up more than anything.
What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?
That I needed to go back to therapy
Does writing energize or exhaust you?
Damn it, why can't it be both?
How do you handle writer's block?
Move onto something different that I am feeling. Or if working on a deadline, remind myself that I'm blessed to be getting paid to work on something.
Where do you draw inspiration from?
Everything and everyone
How do you handle criticism?
First, consider the source and the motivation for the criticism. This isn't the food or retail industry: the customer isn't always right. Next, examine the validity of the criticism. Is it a situation where someone took a chance on my work and it just 'wasn't their thing?' Did I overlook errors or plot holes?
- Affordable prices (roughly half of the going rate)
- No fiction genre restrictions (no child abuse, no severe animal abuse)
- I specialize in helping first-time authors
- I will help you promote your book once it is ready to publish
